Levi's and Google Create Tech Denim
As the search continues for sexier wearable tech, two big brands introduced a trucker jacket made for the bike commuter who doesn't want to glance at his cell phone while pedaling home. Levi's and Google wove technology into their new Jacquard denim, so that sensors in the sleeve connect with the wearers phone and send information to the wearer. The jacket was introduced at Austin's South by Southwest festival and is scheduled to hit stores this fall, selling for about $350. "The first time you swipe your favorite song plays, there is a sense of delight that can only be captured by experience," says Levi's Paul Dillinger.
